1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how TRAINR PORTAL operating Trainr collects, uses, discloses, stores, transfers and protects personal data when you use the Trainr app, website, marketplace, community features, booking tools, payment tools and related services.

Trainr is based in the United Arab Emirates. This policy is designed to support compliance with applicable UAE data protection requirements, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, and other laws that may apply depending on the user’s location.

By using the Platform, creating an account, submitting information, connecting a wearable, booking services, listing services or communicating through Trainr, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. Where required by law, Trainr will ask for consent for specific processing activities, including health and wellness data, marketing, cookies and optional integrations.

  • You may choose not to provide certain health or wellness data, but some features may not work properly.
  • You can disconnect wearables through device, third-party or app settings.
  • Trainers receiving Member health data must use it only for the booked services and must keep it confidential.
  • Trainr does not use health and wellness data to provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
5. How we collect data
  • Directly from you when you create an account, complete onboarding, fill forms, book services, upload content, message users, contact support or set preferences.
  • Automatically through the app, website, cookies, SDKs, analytics tools, device identifiers and server logs.
  • From Trainers and Members when they interact through bookings, reviews, messages and support reports.
  • From third-party services you connect, such as payment processors, app stores, Apple Health, Google Fit, Garmin or other wearable and health platforms.
  • From verification, fraud-prevention, identity, banking, analytics, hosting or communications service providers.

  • With authorities, courts or regulators: where required by law, legal process, safety, fraud prevention or protection of rights.

Trainr does not sell personal data in the ordinary meaning of selling data for money. If advertising or analytics tools involve data sharing that is regulated as a sale, sharing or targeted advertising under any applicable law, Trainr will provide required choices where applicable.

8. International transfers

Trainr may store or process personal data in the UAE and other countries where Trainr, its affiliates or service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws. Trainr will take reasonable steps to protect personal data during international transfers, including contractual safeguards, access controls and vendor due diligence where appropriate.

Trainr retains personal data for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including account operation, service delivery, legal compliance, tax/accounting records, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, safety and enforcement.

No internet, mobile app, payment or storage system is 100% secure. Users must protect their credentials and notify Trainr promptly of suspected unauthorized access.

11. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, restrict, object to processing, withdraw consent, request portability, opt out of marketing, manage cookies, disconnect integrations or lodge a complaint with a competent authority.

  • You can opt out of marketing emails using unsubscribe links and manage push notifications through device settings.
  • You can disconnect wearables or third-party integrations through app, device or provider settings.
  • You can request account deletion or data access by contacting Trainr.
  • Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal and may limit Platform functionality.
12. Children and minors

The Platform is not intended for independent use by children under 18 unless Trainr expressly provides a guardian-managed feature and obtains any required consent. If Trainr learns that it has collected personal data from a minor without required consent, it will take reasonable steps to delete or restrict that data.

13. Marketing, push notifications and communications

Trainr may send service messages such as booking confirmations, payment receipts, safety notices and policy updates. These are not optional where they are necessary to provide the Platform.

Trainr may send marketing emails, SMS, WhatsApp messages, push notifications or ads where permitted by law and based on consent where required. You can opt out at any time using the available settings or unsubscribe methods.

14. Cookies and similar technologies

Trainr uses cookies, SDKs, pixels, tags, local storage, device identifiers and similar technologies as explained in the Cookie Policy. Some technologies are essential for the Platform to work, while others support analytics, personalization, advertising or performance monitoring.

15. Changes to this policy

Trainr may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where changes are material, Trainr will provide reasonable notice through the Platform, email or other appropriate means. The updated policy will apply from the effective date shown at the top.
